Strong Roots Healthy Farming, LLC
3059 E. 5th St., Valley Center, KS 67147
Visitors to Strong Roots Healthy Farming can expect to see a production farm growing fruit, herbs, and vegetables grown naturally without the use of chemicals or artificial fertilizers. Strong Roots uses brewed compost tea with fish emulsion, woodchip, compost, cover crops, and animal waste to fertilize our soil. They have chickens, pigs, cows, and goats that are moved around the property to help manage the land holistically. They have a variety of irrigation methods including drip tape, arial wobblers, and overhead hose trollies (in the hoophouses). They also have an on-site certified kitchen which is used to pickle beets and cucumbers, make salsa and relish, and ferment hot sauce.
